Dance Class Descriptions

Please stop by the office or Fellowship Hall before your class to register.

Tiny Dancers

Mondays 5:00 - 5:45 pm OR Wednesdays 5:30 - 6:15 pm

This class is designed to help children get a first taste of a classroom environment. It will work on things like coordination, left & right, counting rhythm, creativity, and pre-dance skills such as demi-pointe & turns. This class is generally recommended for students ages 3-4. This class is a combination class of ballet & tap.

Beginners

Tuesdays 5:45 - 6:45 pm OR Wednesdays 5:30 - 6:30 pm

These classes are designed to inspire young dancers by beginning their dance journey in a fun way. Students will receive combination tap and ballet classes. This class is generally for ages 5-7.


Level 1

This class is an introduction to classical ballet, and will focus heavily on technique. This is the level where students will transition into a more serious ballet training. Students will need to take both Level 1 classes (choose A or B) each week to receive their 2 hours of instruction. Level 1 will typically be students with less than 2 years dance experience and/or ages 7-9.

Ballet meets Mondays 5:00 - 5:45 pm

Tap/Ballet meets Thursdays 5:00 - 6:00 pm

Level 1B

Tap/Ballet meets Mondays 4:00 - 5:00 pm

Ballet meets Wednesdays 4:45 - 5:30 pm


Level 2

In level 2 students will start building their ballet terminology and begin prepping for pointe. Students will receive training in ballet, pre-pointe, jazz, and tap. Tap and Jazz for this level are split into sub levels 2a and 2b based on previous experience. Level 2 is generally students with 2-3 years experience and/or ages 8-11.

Class meets Wednesdays 4:00 - 5:00 pm and

Thursdays 3:45 - 4:45 pm

Level 2 Tap / Jazz

Class A meets Mondays 4:00 - 5:00 pm

Class B meets Mondays 5:45 - 6:45 pm

Stretching / Pre - Pointe

Wednesdays 5:00 - 5:30 pm

For students at least 8yrs old who would like to start working towards pointe.


Level 3

In Level 3 students will dig into the smaller details of ballet and begin pointe work. Students will receive training in ballet, pointe, jazz, and tap. Students in level 3 are encouraged to attend pre-pointe to continue strengthening their feet even if they are on pointe. Level 3 is typically students with 4+ years of experience and at least 11 years old.

Adult Classes

It's never too late to learn a new skill and dance is a great way to stay fit while having fun!

We have 2 new classes starting February 27th and 29th with our newest dance instructor, EmmaRose Forbus!

Adult Ballet Reservation Form

Adult Beginner Ballet

Thursdays 9:30 am - 11:00 am

This class is for adults who are new to ballet or have very little experience. Begins February 29, 2024!


Adult Intermediate Ballet

Tuesdays 9:30am - 11:00am & Thursdays 6:00pm - 7:30pm

This class is for adults who have 2 or more years ballet experience, no matter how long ago. The Intermediate classes are a "drop in" style, the tuition covers both times available.
